“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope . . . and you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the LORD.”
Jeremiah 29: 11, 13, 14
At Growth & Recovery Counseling
Therapists who are Christian are available to anyone who believes it is important to incorporate his or her faith into treatment. We do so whenever a client indicates this desire.
Your Christian therapist might pray with and for you, discuss how your challenges are affecting your faith, help you clarify God’s direction for your life, or recommend scriptural readings to supplement and support your work in sessions.

Positive gains through spiritual well-being
Several years ago, a study was conducted of women participating in a residential treatment program. The study found that patients who reported an improvement in their spiritual well-being during treatment made significantly more positive gains in their psychological and social functioning by the time of discharge.

NOTE: While we have therapists who offer Christian-based counseling, it is important to remember that we also welcome all religious traditions. We are not here to “make converts” nor are we here to recruit members for any religious entity. You don’t have to be religious at all, you could be curious about how spirituality might improve your world, or be anywhere in between.
